LapLink Missing USB Cable Port when Run in Windows 2000 and Windows XP

Document relates to:   LapLink Classic, LapLink Gold 11.x, LapLink Gold, LapLink 2000

SUMMARY

I installed the USB Network cable. I enabled the USB Cable port on my Windows 98/Me computer but I don't see the same port on my Windows 2000/XP computer. How can I get connected?

SOLUTION

The LapLink USB Network cable uses the TCP/IP port, not the USB Cable port. Make sure that the TCP/IP port is enabled in LapLink's Port Setup on both computers.

The original USB cable uses the USB Cable port and does not support Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
